The Tailcoat

The tailcoat is the most formal attire that you, as a gentleman, can wear. It consists of a jacket with two long pointed front panels and a white waistcoat; here, you can see that a black variant has been chosen.
The tailcoat is further paired with black trousers, preferably with a black side stripe, a self-tied bow tie, and a shirt with a stand-up collar and detachable collar. In practice, our clients often add a personal touch when having their tailcoat custom-made.
A tailcoat is worn and made for events such as doctoral ceremonies, with the wearer being a doctoral candidate, and also for attendants at such events.
We also create tailcoats for Freemasonry, and of course, when the dress code for formal occasions and ceremonies is Cravat Blanche/White Tie or Décorations.
