A morning dress for your wedding does not necessarily have to be a classic morning dress, yet lends itself to be open for personal wishes regarding the colour and style of the morning coat.
This morning dress made for a wedding consists of 3 pieces (coat-waistcoat-trousers) with each their own colour and fabric. This retains the ceremonial character of the morning dress and radiates much more personality.
The coat is made from a 280 gram fine Merino wool with a beautiful drape, supple to wear and not too warm for the wedding in the summer. The choice was made for a herringbone making the fabric appear less ‘solid’. Incidentally, a herringbone fabric is the only fabric eligible to combine with all others both visually and etiquette wise. The royal blue tint appears crisp and powerful. And a nice touch on the buttons on the sleeves which are fabric covered making them, still, appear formal.
Wearing a white waistcoat increases the contrast making the royal blue even more apparent. The buttons on the waistcoat are also covered with fabric.
The trousers of the morning dress are a mid grey making them very eligible to wear after the wedding at different occasions.
