Olive Green Suit Tweed

This is the kind of suit we often tailor these days and it is kind of the revival of the early 20th century dress style. Back in those times, the looms were not yet capable of weaving very fine woollen fabrics, think of super 180’s -200’s, thus fabrics had a heavier weight (and a great drape) and more character.
Due to the fact that few people in the corporate world want to wear suits these days but do want to look well dressed, and perhaps think Peaky Blinders is real, a Tweed suit is a very good choice.
This olive green tweed suit with a herringbone combined with a Donegal waistcoat in retro style is one of those possibilities. With a modern cut but rich in materials and refined model and style options.
A nice trick we make use of is the brown horn buttons which emphasise the green of the jacket and links it to the brown of the waistcoat. That’s it. Let the materials and colours do the work.
