This double-breasted suit in moss green fabric from Bateman Ogden's Swing collection is tailored for a groom with a wedding in Ethiopia.

The suit will continue to be worn on various occasions even after the wedding.

In such locations, temperature can significantly influence choices, and it's observed that people tend to embrace bolder colors compared to weddings in Europe and the US. Often, there's a preference for more vibrant colors and combinations for the groom, as well as more distinctive styles such as a double-breasted jacket instead of a single-breasted one.

This double-breasted jacket features 6 buttons, known in professional terms as a 3*2 double-breasted jacket. You can choose to fasten it at the middle button, but there's also a trend to do so at the lowest button.

Additionally, the jacket includes a ticket pocket (extra pocket), and brown buttons have been chosen.

The Ticket Pocket

Also known as the card pocket, the ticket pocket is a stylish detail on this double-breasted suit jacket. Its origin traces back to English tailoring traditions, designed originally to store train or theater tickets, hence the name 'ticket pocket.'

In terms of style, the ticket pocket not only adds a touch of elegance to the jacket but also introduces a subtle asymmetry that is visually interesting. It's a small, functional detail that draws attention and adds a sense of sophistication to the overall design.

While originally practical, today it is appreciated mainly for its aesthetic value and as a hallmark of bespoke tailoring.

Wearing a jacket with a ticket pocket not only exudes style but also reflects an appreciation for craftsmanship and tradition.

The Fabric

The fabric is 100% extra fine merino wool with natural stretch and 'nano sphere' weighing 300-320 grams. This means the fabric has some give and is water and dirt repellent due to the use of Nanoblock technologies.

In layman's terms, it's a natural wool fabric that drapes nicely and can withstand some wear and tear.

The Colour

Regarding the green color, moss green evokes associations of nature, freshness, and vitality.

This shade complements individuals with dark skin tones, creating a beautiful contrast and emphasizing the natural warmth of the skin.

Our bespoke suits, jackets, waistcoats, trousers and shirts can be worn for business as well as for weddings.
